CCTV installation

CCTV installation for homes and businesses

HD and 4K camera systems, installed, commissioned and serviced across Glasgow and Scotland, with live view and playback on your phone.

What goes into a system

Cameras are the easy part

A camera in the wrong place records a lot of sky. Most of the work is deciding what each camera needs to see, at what detail, and how long the footage has to be kept.

CamerasDome, bullet and turret cameras in HD or 4K, with night vision and colour low light models where it matters.
RecorderA network video recorder sized for the number of cameras and the days of footage you need to keep.
CablingNetwork cable with power over the same run, so each camera needs one cable and no socket.
Remote viewingLive view, playback and alerts on your phone, set up at handover.
CommissioningAngles set in daylight and checked after dark, clocks set, retention checked, and you shown how to export a clip.
ServicingLens cleaning, angle checks, recorder health and hard drive checks on a schedule.

Homes

The drive, the doors and the back garden

Most home systems need three or four cameras: the front door, the driveway, and the back. Angled at your property and not your neighbour’s, with alerts that tell you about a person and ignore the cat.

Businesses

Entrances, tills, yards, loading bays and car parks, recorded at a detail that identifies a face or a number plate, and kept long enough for your insurer or the police to use.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How much does it cost to have CCTV installed?
The number of cameras is the biggest factor, followed by the resolution, how long you want to keep recordings, and how far cable has to run. A home system with a few cameras is a very different job from a yard covering several buildings. We survey, then quote a fixed price.
Can I watch the cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set up the app on your phone at handover so you can watch live, play back recordings and get alerts. You keep control of the login, not us.
Can my neighbour's CCTV point at my house in Scotland?
Home cameras that only cover your own property are outside data protection law. Once a camera records beyond your boundary, such as a neighbour's garden or the street, UK data protection law applies and the ICO's guidance for domestic CCTV should be followed. We angle cameras to cover your property and use privacy masking where a view cannot be avoided.
Do businesses need CCTV signs?
Yes. A business recording people must tell them, which in practice means clear signs, and it needs to handle the footage under data protection law. We fit signage as part of a commercial install.
Do you repair CCTV you did not install?
Yes. We fault find and repair existing systems, replace failed cameras and recorders, and upgrade old analogue systems to HD, often reusing the existing cable.
